The Game of Craps

Craps has become one of the most popular casino games played today. This exciting game of dice, full of action and fun; and mathematicians state that compared with all other casino games, craps has without a doubt the lowest overall house advantage, (house edge) which is obviously important for all serious gamblers. Craps is known however as a very complicated game with all it's rules one can become rather intimidated when not familiar with the game, we encourage you to read our material on how to play craps, as with a better understanding of the games bets and payouts you'll find craps to be a very challenging yet enjoyable game..

Just from observing the game you'll quickly learn that the dice is passed from player to player when it is their turn to be the "shooter". The player (shooter) will continue to throw the dice until the session ends by the player throwing a 7 also referred to as "sevens out".

Whilst the craps game is in play there are two states of the game, the "ON" state which means "the point" has been set and the "OFF" stage which means the point has yet to be rolled. By looking at the numbered squares to the right of the Don't Come Bar you will be quickly able to see in which state of the game is, if a white puck with the word "ON" written on it is positioned on any of these squares then the state of the game is "ON". The downside of the puck is black and has the word "OFF" written on it, when this is placed face-up off the layout area this would indicate that "the point" is yet to be rolled.

Bets are made by placing your chips on one of the numbers in the craps table layout. For a more detailed guide check-out how to play craps and our glossary of craps terms.
